How it started

Since the 8th January this year Barry from Bellissimo North East has been offering free tattoo removal to those seeking employment but currently being penalised due to visible tattoos which many consider as either offensive or inappropriate for the workplace.  In this time he has removed over 200 tattoos for people with the majority being from the North East.

Are you eligible for free tattoo removal?

If you have tattoos on your face, neck or hands and are currently unemployed or claiming benefits then you might be eligible to receive free tattoo removal. 

This offer however has now grown beyond just helping the unemployed. Barry is now offering free tattoo removal to help women who have suffered at the hands of former abusive partners and carry the memory through a tattoo which often they wouldn't haven chosen to have done themselves.

He also wants to give cancer patients a boost by erasing permanent reminders of their treatment, again for free. Radiotherapy patients can be left with a mark on their skin from the delivery of their treatment.

Barry from Bellissimo North East wants to reach out to patients, old and new, whose marks, though small in size, can dent their confidence.

We would also like to ask self-help groups for the young and old who either support the underprivileged who have visible tattoos, or groups that help alopecia or chemotherapy patients, to contact us so we can help further.
